No, there will not be a dress rehearsal, we will be practicing all parts of the pageant prior to the pageant.
The date of the pageant is September 11, 2023 @7:00 PM.
WILL THE PARTICIPANT BE ON STAGE BY THEMSELVES?
No! We will have volunteers to help participants the whole time while they are backstage and on stage.
DOES THE PARTICIPANT NEED TO DO AN INDIVIDUAL TALENT OR INTERVIEW?
They can do a talent if they want to, it isn't required. Last year all participants decided to do a talent and it was so much fun! However, we know not everyone feels comfortable showing off their talents on stage. We have lots of ideas on how to have them included in this portion of the pageant but if they prefer not to, no big deal. This experience is all about them, we want them to love it and have these memories for a lifetime! There will be no interview portion.
DO PARTICIPANTS NEED TO HAVE A FANCY DRESS?
We will have a parade of gowns at the pageant. Dresses should be semi-formal or formal.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER TO BE A PARTICIPANT?
Yes. We only have space for a limited number of participants.
WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO REGISTER AND WHAT DOES THE $30 GO TOWARDS?
All participants will receive a t-shirt, glamour photo shoot, crown, flower, 4 classes and individual stage time to show off their crown and walk. We also wanted to offer our participants an option to ride on a float for the Spud Day parade on Saturday September 16, 2023; this is optional and isn't required. For those participants who want to show off their crown one more time; it is another great way for the community to celebrate them and let their special needs shine!
Winner will also have the option of attending Miss Russet Wednesday September 13, 2023 and help present an award.
ONCE I REGISTER HOW DO I PAY?
Once you have filled out the form under the registration tab an email or text will be sent to you from [email protected] with instructions on how to pay. Once you have paid you will receive another email or text confirming your spot in the pageant.
DOES THE GUARDIAN OR CARE PROVIDER NEED TO DO ANYTHING THE NIGHT OF THE PAGEANT?
During the night of the pageant there will be a brief intermission, at this time you can come backstage and help them get their dress on for the parade of gowns. Other than that, we want you to sit back, relax and enjoy watching your Miss Radiant take the stage and shine!
